Cattle
Compared to September 2019:
- Cattle slaughtered increased 1.4% to 728,400 head
- Beef production increased 1.3% to 205,800 tonnes
Compared to October 2018:
- Cattle slaughtered increased 8.4%
- Beef production increased 7.1%
Calves
Compared to September 2019:
- Calves slaughtered decreased 0.9% to 45,600 head
- Veal production increased 0.3% to 2,300 tonnes
Compared to October 2018:
- Calves slaughtered increased 7.4%
- Veal production increased 29.5%
Sheep
Compared to September 2019:
- Sheep slaughtered increased 0.7% to 729,900 head
- Mutton production increased 2.1% to 18,700 tonnes
Compared to October 2018:
- Sheep slaughtered decreased 13.1%
- Mutton production decreased 5.5%
Lamb
Compared to September 2019:
- Lambs slaughtered increased 0.4% to 1.69 million head
- Lamb production increased 0.5% to 39,800 tonnes

- Lambs slaughtered decreased 5.5%
- Lamb production increased 0.4%
Pigs
Compared to September 2019:
- Pigs slaughtered remained steady at 421,100 head
- Pork production remained steady at 32,500 tonnes

- Pigs slaughtered decreased 6.8%
- Pork production decreased 8.4%
